Fremont Parade on Harris Shutter

They say for every job there is a tool. Fremont Solstice Parade is all about motion, and Harris Shutter Camera is a smartphone app that translates motion into color. It creates a Harris Shutter effect, first invented by Kodak, by making three exposures at a set interval for each click of the shutter button, each in a different color.

The picture of a man leading a dragon float was juried into the 2016 Longshot photothon at Photo Center Northwest in Seattle.
